One of the things that clients look for when they see a company’s image is whether they would feel comfortable relinquishing the responsibility of fulfilling their needs. How to Make Images on Your Website

The option Exact uses exactly the same colors in the palette as those that appear in the images on your website. System Windows and System Macintosh use their respective default 8-bit palette that many times may not have any relation with the image on your website being processed. The process of 8-bit palette is mostly used by web browsers when processing web images. The Adaptive palette is the most effective since it selects the most frequently used color in the picture and then uses it in the palette. A Custom palette allows the user to create a palette. Using this a user can convert multiple images on your web site using the same custom palette. It is available to the user only after the user has converted the image using Adaptive or Custom palette.

The reduction in their image file size can be of great help in making a graphic intensive web page. You can try these on your pictures to see the size difference. Remember that while reducing the file size of an image, try not to compromise with the image quality.

Transparent and Interlaced GIFs

Transparency and Interlacing are two features that are quite important for displaying images on your website. As you already know transparent images have an invisible background. Transparency gives a very neat effect to the page and the image blends into the background instead of standing out.

Transparency is restricted to only the GIF file format or PNG. While making images on your website transparent you need to select the color you wish to make transparent. If your image has multiple similar colors as background then you can not make all this color of the image is one single color.

Interlaced Option in Adobe Photoshop

When you view an interlaced GIF image on the screen you will see an effect similar to the “Venetian blind”. You need not worry if your browser does not show this effect while displaying the image; it only means that the browser does not support interlacing. It does not mean that your image is distorted. So don’t panic!

Animated GIFs

Animated GIFs are very common to use on your domain. They too, have a GIF as the filename extension. Animated GIFs are nothing but GIF files arranged in a sequence. They are placed in a sequence so that when the file is played, it gives the effect of animation. K, SW. I put a little thought into what I know about you and made some food for thought below. I had time on my hands and was looking for something to do with my time so I have done this to help you identify with what you like and don’t like. As I said above knowing more would produce better personalization …I hope this helps you!


Being part of a design company. I think good designs have got allot to do with proper market analysis and ability to unite as much attractive graphic relevance to that market as possible. So if I was going to really do a thorough job with this logo the more market intelligence the better :-) . Most professional logo design firms would likely agree. Failure to do that combined with having a poor communication line to the designer can result in many unnecessary time and drafts.

How will you apply Your design logo?

Most logos today made by a professional design company are multi purposed. They can be applied nicely in web and print media. I personally like to know the game plan in general terms before I work with any icon architecture. If an icon design is going to be used mainly online then that may also be reflected in the design patterns within the graphic design. When fine line, intricate designing symbols are made there can be a visual balancing act trying to get an identical appearance in print and web. When I know we are going to be using the designed icon in RGB format for 70% of the viewing then I may lean more towards perfect clarity and crispness based on a monitor (RGB) visual.

Logo Design with Embossing and Earthtones

Making a Logo that Includes Embossing

Today I had a little too much time on my hands and started experimenting with some unique logo design concepts. I start by surfing the internet for unique logo effects, logo ideas and embossed printing. I Found a blog that looks like it’s just getting started but it got me thinking about taking line art elements of a logo and embossing them in conjunction with lithography. If you think about the possibilities it’s endless. So with my time today I started to play with a natural , cleaned edged logotype placed on a custom premium paper “stack aspire-Silver-ore”.

In this video there are 5 main engraving effects used on the logo:

  1. Embossing- raised embossing on a paper surface.
  2. Embossing and Ink- Engraved paper in position (registration) with ink colors.
  3. Debossing- Paper surface is recessed or depressed
  4. Debossing and Ink- Recessed or depressed paper surface in position (registration) with ink colors.

I start by selecting the natural color scheme that will best suit my tastes. I like emerald canary green for the lettering and will use a secondary earth tone color. When you emboss your project you can use many different die profiles to create the desired effect. I have had some experience in print and lithography before so the effects that I am going to create can be attained with a standard die (magnesium) which is the least expensive. If your project is ongoing I would recommend upgrading to a brass die for a better impression and greater life from your die.

But just take a close look at the simplicity and elegance that you could set in the tone of stationery, posters, brochures…pretty well any printed project that you want to ensure gets a second look. Remember you are now dealing with a look and feel. Some of the techniques you can incorporate into your logo design include Multi Level Foil, embossing, blind embossing with standard Color or PMS color. Heck, you could even throw spot varnish into the mix. Indeed your mind can wander but you also may want to keep costs and ability to reproduce within other applications in mind. When I make a logo that would include embossing effects the idea is to keep it as frugal as possible without taking away from my desired finished look.

How To Operate An Effective Direct Mail Campaign

Direct mail is a marketing method that has been in effect for quite some time. But it works to varying degrees of effectiveness because few people know how to operate an effective direct mail campaign. The first thing to do is to consider your audience and then direct your mailing only to those who fit your audience. You want concentrate on honest prospects that are most likely to buy your product or service. Carefully decide whom your product or service will most appeal to. Think of your audience as one person. Create a profile of that person. Then develop a plan to reach that person and persuade him or her to purchase your product or service.

Items that make an effective direct mail campaign

Effective mail marketing campaigns include three very specific items: an envelope people want to open, a message that focuses on the recipient and a clear call to action.
1. The envelope. The envelope should be attractive. A font that looks handwritten is more successful than a font that looks typed. Make sure that the envelope promises something appealing inside. A postcard can often accomplish this just as well, so long as you can effectively communicate your message in the space allotted. And a postcard has the added advantage of being easy to keep and carry.
2. The message. Your message should focus on the benefits to the recipient. Avoid expounding on how great your product is. Rather, make sure the recipient understands that he or she will receive the main benefit of the product.
3. Call to action. Know before developing the mailing what action you want the recipient to take. Then clearly articulate it. “Call today to find out how (weight loss pill) can help you melt the fat away,” is a good example. Make sure you provide the means (phone number, website postage-paid mail back card) for the recipient to follow the call to action.

Improving your direct mail campaign

An effective direct mail campaign includes improvements. Rarely will you get phenomenal results on your first attempt. Part of operating a successful campaign includes testing. You want to be able to measure your success, and you want to track your results. Follow up. Figure out what works and keep it. Get rid of or change what isn’t working. You can test opening lines, postcards v. letters, envelope designs, benefits to emphasize and even test your mailing list. Send out different versions, distinguishable to you, and see which elements test best. This can take some fine tuning, but you will find as you progress, the results improve.

Incorporate other elements into your direct mail campaign

Don’t rely solely on “snail mail.” Many of the tips for paper mail can also apply to e-mail. In today’s technologically advanced world, some audiences prefer e-mail. You can add e-mail to your direct mail campaign, supplementing. Other elements to include could be a phone call follow up and including a website on the mailing, directing the recipient to the Internet for more information. A good follow up plan that incorporates other elements can bolster the response rate from your direct mailings.
